Tony Toscano reviews “Furry Vengeance”
For the most part Furry Vengeance is a silly bubble-gum film most adults will wave off as a complete waste of time. And they might be right.
Both Brendan Fraser and Brooke Shields offer up squeaky clean, G-rated performances which on the outset seem uninspired and hackneyed to most viewers over the age of 15.
But keep in mind this film isn’t for them, it is a total kids film and that being said, it’s specifically for very young kids.
It’s the kind of movie a mom, dad or grandparent should take their little ones to as their very first film. Its slapstick visuals, easy to follow plot and simpleton interaction with forest creatures make this a great place for children to begin their love affair with the movies.
So, no matter what other critics will say about a film like this, this type of movie is wonderfully enchanting through the eyes of the intended audience, a child.
Furry Vengeance gets a B- (as a kids film) and is rated G
